NEW YORK -- A publicist for the singer Alexa Ray Joel, the daughter of pop star Billy Joel and supermodel Christie Brinkley, said she was hospitalized Saturday in Manhattan for an undisclosed condition.
The 23-year-old's publicist, Claire Mercuri, said Saturday that Joel is in stable condition and receiving treatment.

It was written in one magazine that Christie Brinkley is very hard on her daughter. I wouldn't doubt it either. My sympathies go out to Alexa. I think it would be best for her to do something completely different then her parents like go to college and get a degree. Live a normal life. Her parents may be rich and successful but they seem very dysfunctional in their family relationships. What is it 7 or 8 marriages between them? Yikes.

It's not an "undisclosed condition". It was slathered all over the NY Daily News yesterday. She took an overdose of sleeping pills because her boyfriend broke up with her and she is lonely. Plus, no one is signing her.

I'll never forget when he and Christie Brinkley got divorced SNL announced it on their "News" and said "Christie Brinkley decided to file for divorce when she realized that she was Christie Brinkley and she was married to Billy Joel."
