You are wrong. I was completely legal. I had a legal residence, there was nothing illegal about my yurt in any way. You can legally have a yurt up year round as long as you have a primary residence, which I did. This is true even in Lane County.

Pickering posts a lot of fallacies. I'm not sure why. Most people here have learned to take what he says with a boulder or two of salt.

Thanks for the heads up!

I am really enjoying the City Data boards overall. If you weed out a few things it has great information.

Your words not mine. The whole point was it is not legal to live full time in a Yurt anywhere in Oregon. You were honest and admitted yours was not legal as a full time residence, and you had a legal residence on site. Although you seem to indicate you were living in it (the Yurt) full time anyway.

Living in a yurt "full-time" is not the same as having it be your "permanent" residence.
Totally different words with totally different meanings.

You can live in a yurt full time if it is not your permanent residence.
What is so gosh darn hard to understand about that?

Nowhere in the interpretation do the words "full time", or "year round" appear.
You are using your own words to support your opinion of what the interpretation states...Not the wording in the interpretation.

I suggest you read (and try to understand) the full interpretation you posted....

Wasn't Pickering pretending to be a lawyer here a few weeks ago?

Agreed. One of the things I took away from my law classes was the ability to read government decisions. Although my coursework was specifically Native American Law, you spend hours reading case law every week just to do the minimum required work.
