I was just looking at 5th St Market Web site. Is it an indoor mall?
Yes and no. It is an Old Mill that was at one time a hippie common market. The area immediately around it for a couple of blocks is the main entertainment district of Eugene these days. Many MANY restaurants and shops.

I have been going there since it first opened and I was never a hippie. A greaser maybe, but never a hippie.

I agree with Steve, and would add that the design incorporates indoor and outdoor space. A few of the dining areas are open air.

So it's not going to feel like the typical American mall where you go in and don't see sunlight for an hour while gorging on Wetzel's Pretzels. But if you spend time at more upscale modern mall developments, it may feel a bit more like that.

We'll just find a place to park near there and walk around for awhile.

Hi kady

Perhaps, take him to Diamond Lake, Crater Lake. Very beautiful. You could get him a 2 day fishing license for Diamond Lake. Maybe rent a boat.....
