hi

I'm considering moving from D.C. to eugene . My reasons are I'm looking to get into glassblowing more specifically flameworking and I have heard eugene is a mecca for glass. I'm also a vegan and a bicycle commuter which i have hear eugene can more than accomodate. I wanted to know how easy it is for a 19 year old to make a living and get a glass job in eugene.

hope someone here can help

You should contact the folks at Eugene Glass School they probably have the best take on the industry.

I just wanted to say you might also look into Tacoma, WA. There is an awesome glass museum there... and school... and community.... check it out if you haven't already. There are even glass sculptures as giant public art in the area... so beautiful!
