Nah. The majority of this type of trash has moved on. This movement is a pathetic disgrace, and everybody knows it. I'm sure there are several die hard liberal minority cesspools around the U.S where there may still be activity, but the numbers are surely dwindeling at a rapid pace.

Even Portland’s is on it's last Socialist legs. Good Riddance to the homeless, unemployed, and other jobless hangers-on.

They've been changing their name and game-plan... still around but just trying to distance themselves from the "occupy" stigma... they made a really bad rep for themselves. Like, when they chained the doors closed to a locally-owned community credit union and prevented people from entering or exiting the building when they were supposed to be protesting big corporate banks like Wells Fargo and Bank of America, etc... kinda lame and misguided, don't ya' think? Not to mention dangerous.

Most Eugene people were totally baffled by the hypocrisy of their behavior, sickened by the $$expense$$ they racked up that we now have to figure out how to pay, and disgusted by their inability to be responsible for themselves.

And then there was that dancing half-naked camp-out scaring young children thing... in a city councilors yard. Not very good for their image, you know? (and then of course, we had to pay to build a fence and pay for security at the councilor's home... more $$ that we didn't have to spend gone down the drain because of their stupid antics...)

Of course, I think what bothered people the most was the idea of sex offender's camping out with young children and runaways... anytime the occupy topic was brought up around us at kids football, soccer, etc. games or dinner parties or out volunteering at various place - it seemed to be more the detrimental effect on youth that was the main concern, and the toxic codependency between the homeless clingers-on and the desperate occupy people.

They kind of came off as belligerent, ignorant, spoiled, self-entitled wayward youth (with a few old hippies in the mix) with nothing better to do than muck up public property and spend taxpayer's money. It kinda sucked.

My favorite thing (I try to find a silver lining, you know?) about Occupy Eugene was looking for ironic typos in their signs. One of their signs actually spelled corporation wrong. Too funny.

Hilarity ensues...... any idea taken to its extreme. If Eugene turns its back on you. You have gone too far.

I wont prattle on about the virtues of hard work and self sufficiency other than it means freedom for the individuals that want it.

Thanks for the smile.

I think the group did a lot of stupid things and did not present itself well. I don't understand all the venom towards them though, what did they do to you? They are trying to argue on your behalf, whether you want them to or not. Maybe when you see them all you see is dirty hippies, but what do you think about the issues they are addressing? I think they have some worthwhile grievances.

I think the real embarrassment is that city councilor who demanded the security fence around his property. He seems like a jerkoff, pardon my language.

If you are a part of the occupy movement, you will never understand why it is such a joke. The group is populated by the dregs in majority.

What are the good points if there's no class to back it up? Not a single place they occupied in this country was better for having them there.

I'm sure there were some good people out there with good intentions, but the majority of them showed their true colors. It didn't take very long, either. Good riddence!
