People shouldn't forget that countries like Italy or Spain hardly have any immigrants 15 years ago.
Other western european countries had european immigration since several decades but non european immigration is quite recent.
France or UK have signifiant non-european immigration since over half a century and people should not forget that both were big colonial powers.
I don't know the race of somebody only by seeing names but there are french ambassadors of muslims descent.
By example, Nada Yafi the French ambassador in Kuwait.
Anyway it is true that minorities are very underrepresented.
What is a Col ?
A Colonel. The rank before general or a Capt in the Navy which is the rank below admiral.
Different yea, a bit. But I doubt there will ever be a non white Sec of State in Germany like Dr. Rice or General Powell...heck, I bet there wont even be a non-white political officer.
You're an intrepid traveler, but you've been to Holland. There is no such thing as a country named Holland. UK police also do not carry guns, only special armed response officers do and they do not do routine patrols.
he certainly isn't an intrepid traveller, but that's because he spent his holiday wandering around a selection of countries that are some of the safest and easiest to get around anywhere in the world.
he is really most misguided if he thinks he can tell, as a tourist, any of the things he has proclaimed, especially whether immigrants in a given country do or don't wish to integrate - any evidence he has will be at best anecdotal, more likely, non-existent.
as for you, theunbrainwashed, I don't know where you get your information on the UK police force from, but if you had visited an airport in the UK, the British parliament, or many other 'sensitive' sites in Britain within the past decade or so, you would probably have noticed armed police making routine patrols.

I am very annoyed with you.
You must read my posts.
I have served abroad for my country in numerous diplomatic missions (albeit as an IT contractor) and have stated that the UK and France appear to have more diversity within the ranks of their civil, diplomatic, and security services.
At least among the lower level personnel.
What I asked dude, was for you to show me a bio of a person of color from Germany or another Euro country that has a senior level diplomatic, security, or civil service post?

Dude, that's france. I said that France and the UK were different.

Is there a Black French Ambassador?
Or a French Moroccan Col?
Be we, Europeans, which you are grouping some of the worlds most diverse countries into one category, as a continent, recognize when there are black ambassadors.
Or anyone in military.
No, we don't. You're being extremely ignorant and drawing a childish conclusion that all of Europe will fail with absolutely mediocre and poor experience, are saying people who live in these countries are wrong. I haven't seen such ignorance on these forums ever.
Few things wrong with your post -
1) Europe is a continent, not a country. Each country operates differently, and has more or less immigrants. Denmark and Italy? Vastly, widely, utterly different nations within the EU.
2) Minorities are less common, so odds are you will have less of them in higher power. Just common sense, it's like filling a red ball pool with a few dozen green balls, and the ones on top are in power. Odds are, red shows.
3) You spent less than three weeks in Europe, how can you judge? We're again not states, but countries. With our own governments, culture, living conditions, way we operate, etc.
4) How are immigrants bad for the economy? Isn't that in itself an ignorant biased comment? You can make no such call on Europe and put up an argument we don't have enough.

Yea, but you didn't say anything positive about France and your assertion was Europe will fail--France is in Europe. France and the UK are already a huge component of the EU and Europe. There are minority French ambassadors, and they are likely minority French colonels with my guess being that the Foreign Legion is likely to have many. What's more, this is after only a few decades of large non-European minority populations in those countries which are still minuscule--for most of the other European countries, we're talking about even fewer decades of migration and even smaller non-white minority populations for most. Even with countries that have relatively small minorities and a very short history of immigration such as Germany, you'll have elected (equivalent to) congressmen who are minorities or in the EU parliament. Now will you find them in the exact demographic percentages to the population? No. Will you find that in the US for either house? Absolutely not.
The question really is how did your lack of knowledge lead to your conclusions? I don't know. You obviously have little actual experience or knowledge of these countries and yet you're able to make big predictions. That's super impressive.
In Brussels, there's quite a lot of people from African and Middle-Eastern descent serving in administrations, public offices, police force. Admittedly, Brussels is by far the most multicultural city of the country. It's a lot less diverse in other parts of Belgium, especially outside the bigger cities.
Although I think you're painting with too broad a brush on this issue, Datafeed, I also believe you do have a point. Lots of European countries wrestle with immigration and its consequences, Belgium included. There's quite a lot of resentment among many native, average Europeans, as they feel immigration has been forced upon them.
In terms of percentage, many more immigrants are on welfare/ unemployed than natives. Also in the crime statistics, immigrants are disproportionally represented. These facts create resentment - on both sides. Here it's often observed that the fourth generation of (especially) North African and Turkish people are less integrated than their parents and grand-parents.
So is there a immigration problem. Yes. But give us some slack, as we were not meant to be immigration countries in the first place.
My question is why do Europeans let in all these immigrants (when their own people can do the work) if they dont like them?
I guess you're speaking about muslim immigrants who mainly refuse any integration, strongly depend on government's subsidies and want to establish caliphates with Sharia law in European countries. In difference to USA, Canada etc. EU countries can not chose themselves immigrants, they are obliged to allow all poor, uneducated, criminal Muslim immigrants to live in Europa and to get benefits any kind they want.It is happened because socialist EU want probably to replace european native folks by immigrants from the poor muslim countries.
