My mother says if I move to Europe, I will become a prostitute? (water, black)

If you get a legal residency in some countries, the tuition may be free (depending on the country.)
In my experience, (I studied an MA program in Spain/Austria), if a student is from a 'third-world country', like India, Africa, South America, Indonesia, etc. Most European universities will have some grant in place, and the student won't have to come up with the full tuition.
But, the student itself still has to jump through a million hoops trying to get that student visa, etc.
That is probably the silliest thing I have ever heard. No one will make you become a prostitute unless you want to be one.
Most of the prostitutes here are eastern European, maybe a few more black ones would be nice.
While I think its a ridiculous assumption she will end up a prostitute if coming from a well to do family. You have family in Europe, where? Are they professional people as well? If you have family to guide you in Europe you shouldn't have any trouble.
Of course there are poor people that are victims of human trafficking. They are most often lied to with the promise of a job and forced into prostitution. I hope you do not see human trafficking as some sort joke, GER308.
No of course not. Human trafficking is a great problem but being worried about somehow being forced into prostitution in Europe is a bit silly although perhaps I can understand her parents worries as first generation immigrants even if highly educated.
Even in the legal brothels, mostly the cheap red light district "Show Window" type places there is a human trafficking problem.
The local Red Light districts here are largly controled by the Hells Angles who are doing business with eastern european organized crime.
In the more expensive brothels and among the private "Hobby/Parttime Prostitutes" it is less of a problem.
I always thought a "Fair Trade" brothel would be a good business to open, guaranteed human trafficking free, all insurance, health and benefits paid...
I am black and I want to go to college in Europe. I have some relatives in Europe. My mother says that if I go to Europe, I might fall into prostitution since there are a lot of black prostitutes in Europe. I don't want to become a prostitute and I plan on studying pre-med for my undergraduate years in college. My parents are both doctors, so they will not have a problem with paying tuition.
I do not believe, it is not a big problem to be black in Europe, especially West Europe. In any case it could be dangerously for blacks to live in some parts of Eastern non-EU countries.
Thank you all for your answers. I think my mother is just paranoid. I have a relative in England who is an engineer. My parents did not go to medical school in the U.S. but went there for residency.

LOL.Im sorry but that's just tOO funny.Im African American and all I can say is;as a young woman you should be vigilant no matter where you are in the world. There is forced prostitution in some places but it should not be a major problem that you should be so concerned with.Maybe more so in Eastern Europe.Western Europe is much better for you overall.
The prostitutes we have here are from Eastern Europe, definitely not black
There are more black prostitutes in Europe than you think but those come from West Africa (Nigeria) and the Caribbean (Dominican Republic) NOT from the United States of America.
