Who is this guy? (cultures)

The helm is distinctively Eastern European, but the glove looks Western European to me. The kite shield could go either way, as well as the broadsword and mail (but the mail does look a bit more Eastern. However, the tabard underneath looks Western, I think...). So is this a composite of cultures, or did anybody of note actually wear an outfit like this?

Didn't see a glove like the one in the image I posted, which BTW, post-dates the Teutonic Knights if I'm not mistaken.
