Only Botswana. Look at Zimbabwe. And South Africa still has a long way to go, too.
Namibia, Angola, and Mozambique are all booming. Despite what many say, South Africa's economy isn't doing poorly. If boat people from all the way from Iraq and Iran can make it to Christmas Island, refugees can traverse the Sahara and make it across the Mediterranean to the EU, and Eritreans can make it across the Red Sea and risk getting shot by Egyptians as Pruzyhany claims then I'm pretty sure a boat trip from Eritrea to Mozambique isn't outside of the realm of possibility.
That wasn't what many people had in their mind when they helped Jews escaping from the Nazis. Many people still offered all the help they could. Africa is a dump. Horrible place. Lawless. People are exploited, killed, persecuted etc. Out of all the countries, it's Israel should be the one welcoming them with open arms. Because they have been there. How about this: educate them, give them jobs. It's a win-win situation for both sides.

But may be these foreigners were actually lucky that they've been sent out of Israel all together, and didn't become the recipients of what has been dubbed as "Wisconsin welfare reforms" there, where couple of older people died, after being sent to clean the streets in the sun to receive their welfare payments. That's the kind of jobs they were forced to take "for the good of the community," since the real jobs didn't exist any longer, yet the government was running out of money for social programs.
Who helped? Less than 200,000 Jews survived the Nazis and many were placed in DP camps. The majority of Jews that came to Israel post WW2 came from Arab countries and not Europe (nearly 10:1).
Africa is Africa. A continent with numerous countries. They had numerous countries to choose from yet they had no problem passing through Egypt and mixing in with the Ethiopians of Israel. As I stated in the a previous post, the UN has plenty of funds to send humanitarian aid too numerous other countries but sends zero to Israel unless its only for Palestinians. Israel runs on a balanced budget as they don't want to be in debt to any other country. The only way to fund the coverage of these people is to raise personal income taxes. The Israeli gov't already has a large population of people who are uneducated and drain the welfare bank accts. They are the Haredi. Then they have the settlers who come from Ultra Orthodox Jewish areas around the world straight onto welfare. They have enough problems educating these people since they are missing all the basics.
And where is the rest of the world with open arms? What are they doing? Just look at the Syrians. They are living in UN supplied tents and living off of UN supplied food.
The Israelis could send them out the same way they got in; Through Egypt. Oh wait, Egypt doesn't have a illegal problem as they SHOOT them on sight.
And here we have a headline about Sweden accepting dozens. Of course you have to dig down to find out it's only around four dozen. When you find a EU country taking a 1000+ from ANY African country, then it will be news. Past that is BS PR.

Sorry to tell you they are Jewish citizens and are staying. Just because Ethiopians we're given the right to enter Israel does not give the Eritreans the right to illegally sneak into Israel and hide amongst the Ethiopians.
Excellent news! It's a win for both nations: Sweden gets some much needed diversity in order to enrich its Nordic culture, while Israel gets to protect its Jewish identity. Well done!
Sweden has always had diversity. In fact Sweden even enslaved Africans since ancient times and also since the times of the Crusades.
Jews have been everywhere since ancient times as well.
I don't support illegal immigration, but I think it's crazy that sterilization is taking place in Israel or any part of the world for that matter.
In addition, many of the illegal immigrants and legal immigrants were recruited to Israel for labor or to do work that Israeli born individuals would not do, and then when Israelis don't need these immigrants to do the dirty work, they call the authorities on them and push and confide in the government for their deportation. Let's not overlook this aspect as well.
I am wondering why nobody talks about the sterlization and the one-child policy in China where women are sometimes forced to abort even in advanced pregnancy.
The USA doesn't give benefits to illegal migrants. So why does everyone expect Israel to do so?
Sweden has done a good thing by accepting these Eritrean refugees. I don't see the USA accepting them or other countries like Egypt which is definitely closer than Israel is to Eritrea.
This is the problem with Sweden! It is letting those people from Africa to come and break their economy ... because they are not actually working and they are only doing a damage so its a HUGE problem and a HUGE mistake of Sweden! They don't know or understand that they ONLY damage them self !! I cant understand how they don't see what a problem they are creating for themselves !! Not only they are rising the crime level but also they are sitting on social assistance and will take every Swedish Krona only possible from the state !!
