If you are an American living in Europe, you might enjoy certain aspects of the life there but other things you might miss about living in the USA:

This link I thought said it all:

What do you think of their 35 things?

Good list!

I no longer live abroad, but I hope you don't mind if I give my list? Of the list you linked us to I missed most (when I lived in Spain):

7-11s
Ice!!!!!!
Diet soda
Iced coffee
American fast food (sometimes you just gotta have trash just for the hell of it)
Wifi in lots of places
Huge bathrooms
Peanut butter
Solo cups
Law & Order (love it!!)
Free refills
Pancakes
Air conditioning
Water fountains
Pizza delivery!!!
Bagels

I'd like to add:

Corned beef
Tuna fish sandwiches
Synthetic processed cheese lolol (I know, I know)
Going to a store and the salespeople not hounding you (though that's happening in the States now)
Bailey's Irish Cream (yum)
Cheaper underwear, bras, etc. (Yeah, weird!)
BACON!!! (Nothing like American bacon, folks)
NYC
Gigantic portions of food

There's more but I'll have to think of it...

That list is mostly a joke and some of it untrue.

Here's mine, short and bitter, like my coffee:

- low effective tax rates & greater rewards/responsibility for personal risk-taking;

- spacious underground/in-building parking garages in new residential/mixed-use buildings;

- very deep and very broad unified financial markets & low effective tax rates & greater rewards/responsibility for personal risk-taking;

- well, okay, central air-conditioning (but wall units are okay).

Close your eyes, click your heels three times, and repeat after me ... "socialism sucks, socialism sucks, socialism sucks ... it sucks ..."

Other than that, I give the edge to Europe.

Baileys? You can get Baileys in Spain, you were not looking. They also deliver pizzas.

From the link posted, most stuff is stuff that we have over here.

The article writer seems like he/she never lived in Europe, just visited the place, and visited just one place at that.

Live there for a few years and you will see how much BS this article is.

Let me take a guess here - you dream, eat, breathe, and sleep finances.

I never found Bailey's in Spain. I went to El Corte Ingles and lots of other markets and liquor stores. Yeah, they have pizza delivery, but let's face it, it's not found everywhere, it's not speedy, and it's not crispy and awesome as in the U.S.
