So I am going to these cities in September. I have about 5 days in each, but I'd like someadvice on some not super-touresty things to do, or places to eat
Copenhagen. Never been. Planning the regular touristy things and a trip to Malmo
Berlin. Never been. Have 5 days. I am fascinated with anything related to East Berlin/East Germany
Paris. I only have 4 days here, but I have been here before.
Florence. I only have 3 days here so I will probably just stick with standard stuff
Rome , 5 days and I've never been
Venice 3 days, but I have been here before
We are doing a lot of trains. Copenhagen to Berlin, Paris to Florince, Florence to Rome, Rome Venice.
And then I think we will take the train from Venice to Munich and drive via car rental to the military base at Ramstein

If I only had 4 days in Paris, I'd spend most of it in the Latin Quarter (hip restaurants and clubs). Have you seen the Jardin du Luxembourg? There are tons of tiny off-the-beaten-track museums around the city that I'd like to visit, someday.
What non-touristy types of things do you prefer to do? Nightclubs, shopping, art, live music, sports, etc.?

I have not been to Jardin du Luxembourg. We had it on our list last time, but just didn't make it there. We are definitely going this time. Luckily we have a friends in Paris so they took us to some different areas and we stayed in an ordinaly Parisian neighborhood
I love history and anything related is good. I know that there are a lot of good museums and stuff that arent as well known
I also try to look for restaurants that don't have English on them, that are in the local language. I have better luck finding good restaurants that way.
I think I'm too old for clubs though. I do like to shop, but I prefer to do it where I am getting local wares, not stuff made for tourists that I get home and find "made in china" on
