Yeah, temps will nosedive across Europe soon
Actually, I am fine with that. We need winter to kill off bugs and the rain as well after half a year of summer.

Yeah Sofia, Bulgaria is very strange - you can get some very hot summers yet the temperatures in the winter can be very cold and snowy. And the springs and the autumns are generally very short. I don know if other Bulgarian cities are like this. I prefer milder winters and summers. But what about Beograd, Serbia and Budapest, Hungary? Are they anything like Sofia? Are they as cold during the winter and as hot during the summer?

Let me check our weather forecast, I'm getting curious...

The high temperature for Turin from tomorrow to the 9th of November are all around 11-12-13°C, and it will also be quite cloudy... I was happier before reading this!

It's called being a continental climate, so not unusual at all.

A week from now you are supposed to have 3° at night and 9° during the day

When does the ski season in the Serra da Estrela begin?

^But are Budapest and Belgrade more or less the same as they´re continental too? I mean not at the moment, but in general. Anyone been there? I am asking because I really want to visit them. To me Hungary, the ex Yugoslavian states, Romania and France seem like the most interesting European countries for visiting.

Yes. In winter you could expect snowy conditions or at most a few degrees above freezing and rain. The further you go from the Atlantic, the colder the winter gets.

In Budapest, it might be 10C or -10C.
