It's part of Europe. What do Europeans think of the small island country? Is it a popular vacation spot. What are the people like? What ethnicity are the people of Malta?

Has anyone ever been there?

Malta is nice and beautiful looking but it is not something I would always bother going to.

It may not be a retiring place for me either.

Never been there, but yes its a popular vacation spot, and also one of the absolutely smallest European countries to geographical size.

Very beautiful country. I would love to go there one day.

I think it's mainly a vacation hot spot for the Brits.

Malta is historical interesting. It is an old British colony, so besides Maltese English is very common. Valetta, the capitol, is very nice. Good public transport system by bus. The country is Catholic and the churches are everywhere. Because it is rocky, there are just a handfull of beaches. In the summer it can really be hot. Loved it.

Sort of a combination of Sicily, North Africa, and Britain.
