Kharkiv, Ukraine is located on 50°N. Other significant cities on that latitude: Mainz, Frankfurt, Prague, Kraków, Rzeszów, Lviv, Karaganda, Oskemen, Winnipeg.

I lived in the Eifel directly on the 50°N. Now 49 something. First 35 years of my life 32 with the exception of almost 3 years 22.

Basically everything at 60N is freezing cold, except for Scandinavia.

I am from latitude 40º : same as NY, Pittsburg, New Jersey, Salt Lake, Madrid, Tessalonika...
I currently live in latitude 48º: same as Vienna, Seattle, Luxembourg, etc

When I traveled in Dublin..that is the highest place I ve ever been..I felt the sun did never set..also the dawn was very long compared from where I live. (It was June/July) in summer

i think in my case this will be about right:

so the same as in new york, chechnya, rome and corsica

Here at summer solstice the day is 19 hours and 2 minutes. It's civil twilight for the rest of the night. It's kind of beautiful, as our summers are shorter, but you get so much more out of them when the sun sets at 23:00.

Of course now, the day is less than 6 hours long.
