That doesn't make sense, if suicide rates were because of the cold weather why are Humans still living in Finland?

My quess is that maybe around 150-250 can be found so that there is background of serious disease.
So, this is my quess but hints can be found (Diseases of persons are not public info when person is lives), example at "Moottori" (Motor) magazine is publishing on each month all accidents where lives have lost, with small story how it happened, what were weather/road conditions, etc.
Also many times there is final sentence that driver had serious disease.
I remember that on worst months there has been 11-12 accidents like this, straight and full speed under the truck...Sure this is not right way to do suicide, its very wrong take other persons involved to the personal suicide.
Any way, these cases are just one part of bigger picture.
I've actually always wondered how exactly do such deaths get classified. Is it assumed an accident or suicide by default, i'm guessing not a suicide. Seems like the kind of two-edged sword type of number, can be easily used whichever way.

Some of you do know it is possible to supplement a vitamin d deficiency not only by pills, but an artificial light during morning hours. Not that every person even suffers from the lack of it in any noticeable way. Need real sunlight, heck a person on the dole here can afford to fly somewhere sunny these days for the price equal to a few cases of Pirkka horsepiss beer, if they desire. And some do it.

Not to mention Siberia, Manchuria, and the mountainous parts of Central Asia. And Alaska and northern Canada.

Sorry but weather dont have anything to do with this issue.
Last day of the year was +4 C here in southern Finland and so fare we have had only few days with -14 to - 18 C, mostly it has been around the zero C.
Last winter we had around 20-25 days with - 15 C or something like that, normally temperature is sailing between Zero and -10 C.
At may we had week or so + 25 C and in summer time some times temperature can go up to over + 30 C.

As a curiosity, now is - 17C here in Bucharest

Anyway, the yearly average temperature is low in Finland and the fact that northern countries, Russia included, are in top of suicide rates, confirms what I said:

I think we all agree that someone living in a country like, say, Haiti or Dominican Republic, even if a poor or other kind of troubled individual, would not feel so much tempted to commit suicide (no matter the reason) because that type of exotic nature and climate create an optimistic perception of life. So environment is very important in shaping mentalities.

Living in a landlocked country also has negative effects on the psychology of a population, not because of lack of salt or other substances but because the individual is identifying himself with a nation considered deprived of the advantages other nations have (it may be a false idea but nevertheless, it changes the perception the way I said).
