I wrote about wanting to live in Norway or Canada, but prices are huge there... So what about Sweden? Is it very different from Norway? I know that most Norwegians/Swedes can speak the other language, and I know that the roots aren't all that different... So what are the differences, and how different are those countries? I'm asking mainly because it's possible I could find cheaper rent in Sweden than in Norway outside the city... Maybe even an apartment and not a shared housing situation. And I am also curious now that I think on it.
Sweden is a bit cheaper then Norway, but still about 10-15% more expensive then Germany or the Netherlands. In the North part of the country things get less expensive I guess, but there's very little work from what I've heard.
I don't think I've ever seen so many farms for sale in one area, for such low prices. People told me all the young folks move to the city because there's no work for them. That's what I was told when I was there.
Maybe some Swedes here can tell you more about this.
