Just returned from a driving holiday Dresden-Wroclaw-Goerlitz-Berlin. Didn't go a bundle on Dresden, Wroclaw just great. Young, funky town full of students and almost EVERYONE under 30 spoke perfect English. Goerlitz creepy. It felt like The Village in The Prisoner. Berlin as great as ever, but shouldn't have stayed on Alex as the surrounding area is still cruddy, with a ruddy great Primark on the Platz.
Goerlitz (sorry can't be bothered with umlaut) gave a new meaning to "sleepy". We sat with beers outside a bar/cafe on a square just up from the hotel and observed the nothing happening. Only thing of note - there were loads of police cruising around. I said it didn't look like a hotbed of crime to me, but perhaps someone had put their windowbox out at an illegal hour. After all, folk wear ties at breakfast here.
When suddenly, coming up the adjacent road came several cop cars with blue lights on, followed by two black Audis and about 30 policebike outriders, lights a flashing. They pulled up just across the way, and the English speaking waiter told us it was Juncker "giving an award to the region". He tottered into a building for 5 mins, tottered out again and the whole shebang drove 100 metres down to our hotel, where he had dinner (not cheap). The adoring hoardes were overwhelming - I counted precisely 6 onlookers on the street, to whom he waved as he drove by.
I can't believe the Queen would get this much security if she was visiting the hoods of Baltimore.

That is because the queen is a decent human being and Juncker is just a rat ramming his ideocracy down the throats of every European and spends fortunes destroying our continent.
