Denmark is amongst the hardest to get into if your ultimate goal is permanent residence and citizenship, although the job route can get you there if you take a permanent position. Unfortunately, most - not all - permanent jobs require fluency in Danish and are context-specific (you have to have the Danish education for a job).

If you are a citizen of the US or Japan, however, you don't need a work permit to do so in the Netherlands.
