I have a vacation rental in Puerto Banus where the Saudi King has a home and I also worked in Saudi for 18 months. I would just as soon he and his entourage stay in the barren Saudi desert where they can apply their Sharia Law and marry a new bride a few days a week.

in reality, I don't think the Saud family is very devoted to Sharia except where it profits them.

He should bring his guests to a beach that he bought just for him. So sad if peoples rights are violated by an rude person with extra cash.

The sauds definitely don't care about sharia for themselves, they just encourage it to keep the poors fighting amongst themselves, instead of targeting them. Pretty much a classic 1% strategy throughout the ages.

This also made the news here and a few members entourage of the king and locals were interviewed and claimed that the beach was closed due to security. Most merchants seemed happy with it as it will bring work and more money than they have probably ever seen before

Who is going to buy from the merchants if the beach is closed for the king? His multiple servants?
