Just proved you that we can and we do it proudly.

Saudi arabia could care less about their "brothers", they rather send them all to Western Europe especially Germany....

no, Schengen is a good thing for the people

we just need to stop rescuing invaders in the sea few miles from Lybia, period

The extremes between Sweden/Germany/Netherlands/Belgium/France overly open, and embracing policy on immigration compared with Slovakia's blatant closed doors towards any Muslims is representing just one problem with Europe's overall immigration network of varying encompassing reaction.

The best compromise is somewhere in between. I think the immigration policies towards Muslims is best in countries such as Austria, Romania, Italy, Spain, and Portugal.

Having more than 10%-30% of a national country's ethnic racial religious demographics becoming Islamic Middle Eastern when they are a native European country with a drastically altered culture, and national past is quite not stable. Yet having too much xenophobia towards any race, ethnicity or religion is another recognizable issue to avoid at the same time.

And of course there are millions of immigrants that are not Muslims or Middle Eastern at all. Why not more international attention and respectful talks on all of the East Asian, Southeast Asian, and Buddhist immigration into areas of Europe? Another World deep inside compared to what is going on with Muslims.

Slovakia is not alone. Estonia, Bulgaria, and Cyprus have also directly stated that they will not take Moslems. The fact that they have said this in such a direct manner is stunning.

Why is it "stunning"? None of the Muslim states would ever take Christians, or Jews, or other religions.

These countries are nation-states with a common ethnic background and religion. They probably want to preserve their heritage.

Us? No, our politicians don't have enough spine to declare something like this so we will also accept mozzies.

I dont think the action is stunning.

What I think is stunning is how direct they were about it. I was expecting a more: Well, the ability to acculturise is one of the things we value in migrants. We will take in people of any religion, but.... in general proportion to the existing demographic balance of our nation and prior groups must be given time to acculturate. *

* Unsaid meaning: Ability to acculturate means no hijabs, we are 99% Christian. This means we will take in say, 20 select moslems this year. We will dialogue again about this in three years.... .

Thanks for the correction. Your politicians maybe getting tough. I thought the Estonian official said they would not take moslems. Instead, she just strongly implied that they prefer Christians.
