Erasure is Russian, and is well familiar with the word "mashina", lol.

OP, I don't recall ever finding your English unusual, until just now. So, you're in Romania? The dream is happening?

Up to now, I have travelled to at least 11 countries (France, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria, Romania, Bulgaria, Italy, Monaco, Costa Rica, Mexico, Canada) outside of where I am living. Only 25 years old right now. Technically, I stayed in Romania around one month each various summer, and maybe qualifying to residency status already.

What you are blasting off at is absolutely not making any rational sense whatsoever. You are just talking about yourself, viribusunitis. Nobody else.
My "main question" is what language did you speak ORIGINALLY from your early childhood, which turns out to be Romanian most likely, not English, IF both of your parents were present.
I can tell you how it works in Russian families here in America, from what I've seen; if BOTH parents are present, then children speak Russian at home and English when away from Russian-speaking communities, thus keeping Russian conversational language going. If only ONE parent is present, ( mostly mothers of course,) children lose Russian fast. They still understand it when their mothers speak Russian to them, but they respond in English, thus losing the conversational Russian.
Now if you were hearing ( and responding) in Romanian at home in your childhood, it could have influenced your English - grammar, sentences structure and all.
My Russian for example DOES affect my English, because Russian allows (no, rather encourages) long sentences, so I have to be careful when I try to squeeze as much as possible in one sentence in English. Not to mention the articles, that I still consider a freak of nature and insert them randomly here and there.
Now not only your first language could of have affected your English ( the way you construct sentences,) but I can see the possibility as well that on top of that your American public school never gave you a good idea of written English, because you only somewhat older than my son, and I am well-familiar with the system of education in American public schools in this respect.
And that's why people here are questioning your written style in English, because it comes across as rather unusual one.

I guess it's no secret that my first language isn't English. Thought you weren't a native speaker either. Whatever. Carry on.

Hmmm, I don't know how my initial inquiry to you could have been misconstrued as an insult. In no way was it worded or meant as such. Nor was anyone else's, that I noticed. This seems to be a subject that gets you a bit defensive for some reason.
Being bilingual, I know how different languages can have one express thoughts in different ways. I find it quite interesting, hence my question to you.
Anyway, all the best in your ventures!
