"According to a 2010 Gallup study, an estimated 80 million adults in the European Union would prefer to emigrate if given free choice. About half of these would migrate to another country within the EU. The remaining 40 million have a desired destination outside of the EU, about 14 million would migrate to North America (USA or Canada), and 9 million to Australia or New Zealand"
I've noticed that the US, unlike the EU, are going to take care of their citizens:
"USA warns five European countries to clamp down in fake passport trade sparked by migrant crisis or lose visa-free ESTA travel
US has 'issued warnings to France, Belgium, Germany, Italy and Greece'
Said to have given countries deadline of February 1 to address the issue
Warning came after stolen passports found in remains of Paris bomber
Threatened to remove right to visa-free travel - used by 38million a year"
American scenarios are fun, I just read a sci-fi paperback in which there was a big famine in which white ate blacks. The only blacks lived in some island in Georgia.
Another scenario in a book by Heinlein was that Russian Atomic bombs blasted American cities, and the remains of the country became dominated by American Indians. The few remaining whites had to flee in some sort of modern Mayflower to Europe that was being invaded by Mongols.
I have a question for those in Europe-do you think that the governments there will move to close their borders?
The borders will not be closed completely in any case. The Schengen Agreement might be under scrutiny and temporary border checks might come up between more countries. The free movement for EU nationals will not be ditched. It's after all one of the greatest achievements in the EU history.
But I think the consensus of every country in the EU is that this stem of refugees must be curbed. I don't think there's any doubt to that. More money and effort will most likely be put to Frontex and individual countries which have non-Schengen neighbours. The European commission has proposed a EU Border and Coast Guard, mainly targeted at the Mediterranean and immigration hotspots.

Close borders, what for?
As to emigrant crisis in some countries, no, it won't urge massive european migration.
Why?
