I would say the French usually are fond of scotland / ireland / whales, ie every country on the british islands that is not England.
I have a feeling the average Italian does not really like the French in general, we have a reputation for being snobbish, I don't really know where it comes from.
My impression is that every country in Europe hates every other country in Europe. Don't know if this is true or not, but it would certainly explain the endless procession of internecine wars you all have been having pretty much nonstop for the last thousand years or so.
Really? I thought everybody disliked the British? That's the impression I get from these forums, there only seems to be one nation that gets more 'dislike' on here than the British and that's the USA (we feel your pain!).

I used to know a guy from Brittany and he didn't mind me because I'm Welsh, but he didn't like the English at all.
By the way, it's Wales and not Whales. I've explained this before on here, lol. Whales are marine mammals.
