my wife and i will be in denmark from april 30 to may 7. we've looked at a bunch of travel information, but it is difficult to prioritize based off of generalized brochures and online articles.
one of my bigger goals is to make sure i am at photogenic locations for sunrise/early morning and sunset/evening; i intend to do a bit of photography.
we are interested in the viking museum in lindholm and the wwII danish resistance museum in copenhagen. further, the old churches and castles are all tantalizing.
what are we missing? which museums and sites do we not seem to be aware of? which are your favorites?
In Copenhagen, make sure to spend plenty of time in Christiania and Tivoli. Photos aren't appreciated in Christiania, an incredible hippy-commune kind of place in a great part of town. You can steal a few shots, just keep people out of the frame and you'll be OK. it's a special place, anti global-conformity, enjoy it while you can.
Tivoli, the amusement park is still highly loved by Danes (don't think it is hokey). The lights at night are beautiful and would make for a challenging photo op. It's very romantic, you'll see plenty of couples getting into the mood.
i appreciate the info, you guys. we're looking forward to the trip.
