So I lived in a "democratic civil society" long enough to understand that it operates on money basis, and the more things are progressing, the more obvious it becomes that money rule above anything else. I mean it becomes quite obvious in the US, in Europe it's less obvious, precisely because Europeans adhere to many Socialist principals, and thus live a life of a more "democratic and civil society."
In classical liberal terms, it's actually the other way around.

Frankly he has a point. 100 years is a lot...OK 99 to be exact.
Though of course guys like Henry want an "Ukrainian style" revolution where the new government will be pro-Western. It will be fun though if the new government is even more anti-Western than the current one led by Putin.
He's right that Yeltsin did not make a revolution. He suppressed a coup. But he is wrong in the rest. More likely, he was just the troll.

Not "was", "is", sorry.
+ You think than you understand the Russians and that you have the right to teach them. But you're wrong.

If you are on 3rd grade, and I am on 8th grade, why shouldn't I teach you? Don't take this as condescending, but why shouldn't Russians learn from more civilized societies?
Many EE countries did this. EE students and intelligentsia went to revolution because they wanted to become like "Western Europe" or "USA."
They looked up to a more advanced society, and said "hey, we want to become like them." It has actually worked well for many of them.
Nobody said "hey, I want to become like Saudi Arabia." People want a better life, better society. That's actually natural.
Closing off your eyes and saying "hey, I just want to stay as I am" -- that's myopic.
China's economy will collapse if deprived of the American market. It is obvious.
It is not a one way street. A collapse of Chinese market will do significant harm to the American economy as well. The two countries are very intertwined today. If you think China "depends" on the US in a unidirectional way, you are mistaken. You probably can say that about Canada, not China.
Let me put it this way: the US is run by large corporation, not the congress nor the people. And those big corporations would hate to see China fail considering how much stake they have in it.

That's very true. China is also the largest holder US Treasury bonds. So much for US Imperialism and sharks.

Are you kidding? Russian civilization has more than thousand-year history, and the Russians do not believe that you are in the 8th grade. When I read in Western media, that Putin has launched flywheel of nationalist sentiment, I realize that it did not Putin. It did people like you. And thanks to you in Russia is such sentiments (sorry, if you not understand Russian, it's difficult, I can't translate it):

Lenin's October Revolution stumped Russia's transition from an agrarian / feudal society into an industrialized / Capitalist society. This is Lenin's own analysis BTW.
Perestroika tried to re-start this transition, but Russia remains autocratic, and tentative in transitioning into a pluralistic / free society.

My Russian is not as good as it used to be, and neither is your English.
Nevertheless, when you claim that your thinking is representative of what other 150 millions Russians think, it is "scary" whether you're wrong or right.
