Until today, I was sceptical towards the power of Coronavirus and thought of it as greatly overexaggereted, however it has changed.
Seeing how dense West-Central Europe is, and how now experts share the opinion that "this is just the beginning", I think that this is alarming. Very alarming and kinda shocking. If Germany reaches this high level of infections, the rest of Europe will follow soon.
Unlike Italy and China, who are putting masses under quarantine, Germany is doing nothing at all.
What do you think? Is Germany's decision to do nothing "right"? Or can we blame Germany for putting Europe at risk? Do you consider it as ultra-neoliberal, so that it will always put economic considerations over what is best for its people? Even Switzerland decided to cancel events with over 1000 participiants, while Germany is still doing nothing.

Why are you saying that they aren't doing anything?
They are observing what's going on, cancelling events etc. The Robert-Koch-Institut is holding daily meetings.
They will do whatever is needed when is needed.
They aren't "putting Europe at risk".
According to the first link you posted:
"Germany is excellently prepared for the lung disease Covid-19".
And that's all you need to worry about. Do you live in Germany?
Italy has a bigger problem.
well countries like Germany or America will never decide to limit the amount of immigrants even if they carry some zombie virus from a horror movie, so he's probably not that off assuming the first corona virus case was a traveller from China and not even German abroad: as it's getting warmer more and more Chinese citizens will go to Germany and also their favorite tourist destinations (France and Italy). For now eastern europe is the safest (excluding tourist-known Prague).
What is your authority to say they are doing "nothing"? I would be much more concerned about Italy and even more so about Iran. In any case, we can assume that there are thousands of infected people already all over Europe and North America who are unaware.
He has his moment of fame and is working it. As far as his statement that Germans like to travel - I abhor traveling!
News and media are feasting on virus news blowing what sells out of proportion and skipping the rest.
The average person has several colds or flu each year. If each cold or flu virus infects half the population, there are about 6-12 coronavirus variations going around each year and invading humans, not necessarily making them sick. The statement about the raw number of infected people sounds ominous but it lacks perspective. I think there's something on the order of 30 similar viruses, and people get coughs, fever, aches and pains all the time, and not all of the symptoms, if any.
