In terms of total human (world?) population, that is probably well less than 28%.

Is 28% or less “most”?

Third and second world lost its beatching rights by (silently) supporting/ignoring Russian fascist regime and its genocidal wars of agression. The third world can relate to Russia on accounts of corruption and neo feudal totalitarism but it shot itself in the butt by siding with Russian fascists. So? What difference does it make how many people live in the countries without even ostentatious moral bone and a sense of right and wrong? Assisting Russian nazis in dismantling post WW2 order with its ban on the wars of annexation and genocide is not smart on the part of 2nd/3rd world, forget about morality. A good chunk of world' population is governed by the regimes without morals or brains. It is sad, but what does it prove?

Today I read a great story.

Once upon a time, there was a problem in a big country.
On its southern borders, in a neighboring country, riots broke out and part of the northeastern territories declared independence from this southern country. They had close ties to their big neighbor to the north, the same language, and the same vision of the future for themselves and their children.

The southern country refused to recognize the independence of the northeast and launched a military operation, calling those living there rebels.

Volunteers traveled from the north to the rebellious lands, food supplies were delivered and refugees were taken out. The leadership of the northern country refused to recognize the independence of the neighbor's territories and take them into their country, fearing hostilities and worsening relations with the whole world.

But eight years have passed and nothing has changed.
The northeast territories continued to consider themselves independent of their former master, the south country. The northern country, seeing that the situation was not being resolved, decided to recognize the territories and accept them as part of its own.

The society of the North Country split.
Someone shouted that it was time to punish these damned southerners, and someone that they did not need these northeastern territories at all and that they should not quarrel with the entire civilized world because of them. The Democratic and Conservative parties were divided, relatives cursed each other, and only the army remained true to duty and order.

Under the banner of the glorious General Taylor, the army left Corpus Christi and crossed the Rio Grande! At the same time, the valiant US Navy set up a blockade of Mexican ports!

Thus began the Mexican-American War of 1846-1848. As a result, the rebellious territory of Texas and several other states entered the United States.

This is a very interesting story.

Russian terrorists are feeling the impact of sanctions. They are burning $10M of gas a day because they can't sell the gas. But they are hurting the environment in the process.

The report didn't say they're burning it off because they can't sell it. It said, it's not known why the flare has been happening for over 2 months now. It said it's a mystery.

You should read about how the Kingdom of Hawaii became part of the US, and ultimately--the 50th state. You'll enjoy that one. There are similarities to how California became a state. That story is often glossed over, as part of the territory gained via the war with Mexico, but there's much more to the real story than that.

Happy researching!

And btw, Russia used to get provisions from both Mexican California (see: Fort Ross), and Hawaii for its Alaska colony.

Yes U.S. expansion was anything but peaceful. Manifest destiny was in full swing. If the British hadn’t pushed U.S. forces out of Canada, and burned down the White House, then Canada (at the least the arable portions) would be part of the United States. Interestingly I believe it was President Grant that stated the U.S. Civil War was a sort of divine punishment for the U.S. aggressive land grab in the Mexican war. To a degree he was right, because the issue of newly entering Western states being allowed to own slaves was a major issue leading to the civil war.

To be fair, the U.S. had many other opportunities to expand territory but chose otherwise and allowed the citizens of these lands to decide their own fate. The Philippians, Cuba, and the Dominican Republic could have all ended up U.S. territories or states. Though in the case of Cuba, we did keep a little piece, but hey got to have something for your troubles.

I don't think they are against the war, more like they are trying to maintiain their centrist position. For example they were not one of the nations condemning Russia.

I'm sure Europe and the U.S. would love to Kazakhstan on their side since it would provide strategic interest, but such a move would invoke Russia and possibly China to action, so I doubt it would be in their best interest.

Whoa! Some of the most saddest news I have ever seen in my 2nd home connection outside New York City...
One of my most favorite beaches in Romania. Only 2 to 4 miles from Eforie. Didn't think the Black Sea mines ended up this close to the Constanta side of Dobrogea from Danube Delta.

Bulgaria, and Turkey Black Sea coastlines is also having this serious issue. Some of these explosive mines also got that far into the sea current. Romania, Turkey, and Bulgaria navy Black Sea divers must use all advanced technologies to carefully scan up to 100% of these Black Sea mines on satellite radar detecting systems, and successfully remove these items quickly. Exact chart recording on all of these drifting objects(Look exactly as Virus Pandemic molecules on water...) sourced from the Ukrainian Russia Black Sea.. Crimea, Odessa, Snake Island.

Wise decision: There isn't any other choice but Romania, all of these other countries just to stay silent with Russia. To never make the situation worse. Just immediately get rid of these in water surface weapons.

The mines were planted by Ukraine when it was afraid of an amphibious assault on Odessa. You should address all questions to Zelensky, who gave the order.

The history of Texas struck me by the fact that it completely repeats the history of Donbass at the present time. Even the period of 8 years is approximately the same.

By the way, the Ukrainians have been attacking Kherson for 3 days. I thought this topic had a hot discussion, but here is silence .

And the IAEA mission arrived at the nuclear power plant in Zaporozhye. I wonder what will be in their report.
