Just thought I'd throw that out. You can lose a lot of fat, but still be about the same weight give a take between 10-20lbs depending on what your doing.

My point is, people spend too much time worrying about what the scale says rather than what their appearance says. Don't listen to the scale, it's not a point accurate representation of your body mass.

Just thought I'd point that out before people go overboard with the resolutions and make something so simple be so complicated.

Anyone trying to lose weight should rely on a measuring tape more than a scale.

a great way to measure is how your clothes fit. Less stressful.

ok, for your guys i have a question....something i've been self conscious about ever since....well it was not a good relationship anyway, but i carry it with me still, and i want to rid myself of this.

i stopped using the scale as the be-all end-all, when i finally just accepted the fact that for whatever reason, i tend to be heavier than other women i know, even when i wasn't overweight. i'm pretty strong so i attribute it to muscle mass...i'm not big boned, but i don't have a bird like frame either.

so i am about 5'5", and at 165 lbs i am a size 8, at 150 i'm a size 6. i look small, but i'm heavy. anyway, my old bf once picked me up (at size 8) and nearly dropped me, complaining about how heavy i was, and then would always 'joke' about what a heavyweight i am, nearly broke his back and when i told him i was 165 or so, he insisted i was fat, and needed to lose about 40 lbs, he would tell this to everyone, even tell his friends -no joke dude, just try to lift her and see for yourself, she's a cow. at size 8 i'm not super lean, but i'm no muffin top either.


so would an average guy really find 160 pounds or so, so difficult to lift? was he just a wimp or is it a total turn off if your woman is heavy, even if she isn't fat?

I'm glad you said old boyfriend b/c that's no way to treat someone.

there are different body types, endomorph, ectomorph, mesomorph and some people are just stockier than others, some are skinny but also have a thin body type as well.

Yes, best way to measure yourself is to determine how your clothes fit, not by what a scale says.

Don't worry. Donkey hybrids aren't sharp at all if you know what I mean. That being said, if you feel like you're comfortable at what you're at, then that's all that matters.

He's probably a wuss anyhow. That being said, nothing wrong with having a woman who's strong
