you believe they will make a person feel satisfied longer. i believe a person will feel satisfied longer with complex carbs than proteins and fats.

The only think you have to do is make your intake be on a more regular schedule if you are eating heavier carb. That cuts out any dramatic blood sugar swings that could happen that can create hunger or slow loss. And thats only if you have a problem with it.

indeed.

So then, if someone took your advice, they'd be eating more, and more often, and that kind of defeats the purpose, doesn't it?

Consider 100 calories worth of cooked pasta (with nothing on it) and 100 calories of broiled white meat chicken. Which will keep you satisfied for longer? Which will keep you from thinking about food for longer?

It doesn't take a PhD to understand how a lower carb food plan works to help people lose weight. Or ... at least it shouldn't.

you take the whole anti-carb thing way too far. complex carbs keep your full longer than proteins. nothing you say can really be given any credibility because you are totally irrational.

sit down and eat a cup of rolled oats, see how that treats you. eat 300 calories of protein/fat and see what happens. the oats are going to fill you longer.

Oatmeal is the one exception as far as carbs and keeping me satisfied, at least for me.

Oatmeal does, however, have a tad bit more protein than wheat or other whole grains. That makes a difference.

ive played around with my diet a lot. im ok with eating the same bland thing every day so it allows me to fine tune my diet with small tweaks. for a while, i was eating a lot of my meals being just pasta with some tomato sauce and plain grilled chicken. i definitely felt that the side of pasta had a big impact on how long i can last without needing another meal. so in my opinion, complex carbs keep me fuller longer than proteins.

I'm pretty sure the thick 300 calorie slab of well marbled prime rib will keep me satisfied longer than your cup of rolled oats.

That may be true, B-U-T and I-F this was carried out on a daily basis over the course of a year, I imagine the the Captain would be ALOT healthier than you.
