I make a crust out of zucchini. It's pretty yummy, and you get in some veggie servings to boot!

What's the difference between doing low impact exercise like walking for an hr and 1/2 vs doing high impact exercise like running for 30 minutes?
Don't ehy burn the same number of calories?

It's not about impact; it's about intensity.
Walking an hour is better than no exercise at all, but don't look for it to burn a ton of calories or raise your heart rate.

Knee strain, back strain, boob ache for the busty - I can sprint to the end of the block. After that, I walk.
Anything involving my entire body lifting off the ground and bouncing back to earth, other than on a trampoline, is not going to happen with any amount of grace, for me.

And, I'll be limping the next day.

Yes, swimming is the best way or you can check some online training videos for this and do the regular exercise.

That would all depend on how fast you walk.

Intensity is the key. A lot of people do not like to feel out of breath, or sweat, or be uncomfortable at all. But in order to get true benefits from exercise one has to push out of their comfort zone. No need to do high impact to get there. Walk very fast for at least 30 minutes. Walk up hill, ride a bicycle and push the speed or switch the gears to make it harder. Bike uphill. Swimming is fantastic, but you need to do laps. Its hard at first and its important to not push yourself too far too fast. Baby steps. The important thing is to up the intensity with every workout session, whether it be walking, swimming, weight lifting, whatever. If you are not breathing hard and not breaking a sweat you are not doing enough.

If you don't know how to swim, then learn. This guy eats 12,000 calories a day:

Default Elliptical vs Treadmill

I always hear how ellipticals are better than treadmills because of there low impact movements; easier on the joints. That said, I just have a hard time getting use to ellipticals, I feel very awkward on them, so I usually stick with the treadmills, even though I feel out door running beats them both hand down. Does anyone here have a preference as to which is better between the two machines?
