I think this thread was created to show off plank prowess.

Change up the plank to prevent postural imbalances from people trying to hold the position too long.

Good advice in the articles. I liked the RKC Plank and the 90-degree vertical plate press which were mentioned in the second article.

I'm really tired of doing the regular plank, which as it turns out is not as effective as I thought even though it does get the abs tired. There really is no reason to plank for extended periods unless you enjoy boredom and pain.

Not very long especially when I'm trying to keep proper form. I especially hate side plank.

I have done a few 2 minute planks (and a few 90 second side planks), but usually I do them for 60-90 seconds a few times a day vs. trying to do one long one.

that's my motto too. when i first started on my fitness journey I couldn't even do one. just like I could barely lift 7.5 dumbbells. One year later, I'm much better.

The longest plank I've held was an agonizingly boring 3 and a half minutes. I rarely ever hold a plank for more than a minute. Can't see any value in holding longer than that.

During a recent super bowl, I did 66 - 30 second planks. I dropped down whenever a commercial came on. Haven't watched single commercial for the past 3 super bowls.

I did 46 minutes once. Well, take away the 41.5 minutes I was thinking about how long I could hold a plank for.

I was curious how long I could hold a plank months ago. I was just over 21 mins until a business call forced me to get out of position. I could have gone much longer.

Maybe, when I have more time to burn, ill try it again.
