As Father Time is creeping up on me, I know exercise is important. Over the last several years I purchased an exercise machine, a rower, a peddler (that you can use while sitting in a chair), all sorts of exercise DVDs, created an exercise CD, etc. etc. I would use each one for a bit before losing interest and then they sit there collecting dust.

About a month ago, I started something new and so far, I am keeping up with it. I am a "tea-aholic." I drink maybe 5+/- cups a day (caffeine and decaf/herbal). So, while I am heating the water for my next cup, I go up and down the stairs at least 3 maybe four times at a brisk pace. The idea is, if I continue, I will add more "laps."

I know the best form of exercise is the one that you will do-and so far, so good. After a month, my thighs & butt are firming up and so far, I have not felt it in my knees. I only took two days off in the last month and that is because we were traveling.

Now, I just need some kind of exercise to firm up my arms that I will continue to do.

Good for you! Exercise works but it won't do a thing for you if you don't do it!

If you don’t move it you’ll lose it. That’s a FACT.

You could pump some free weights while going up the stairs.

That's a lot harder for me than it looks. Christ, I can't do it! Is having a 35" inseam an excuse?

The issue with that if that I hold on to the railing going up and down-I don't want to go down head first. But thanks for the suggestion.
