Wow. I've put on a couple of pounds but am still 179 lbs at 6' 1" tall (male). I dont think there is any reason for any woman to be 200lbs though. Im sure that any woman who IS 200lbs or more wishes they were under that 200 lb mark. That is just really bad.

I really do beleive the weight gain is due to our unhealthy foods and sedentary lifestyle, lifestyle involving little or no physical activity!... I'm 119 and 5'3, in my late 50's... I only consume organics, and I'm a runner, lightweights... I feel great!
Hmmm...so economic starvation and malnutrition isn't happening in the US?
What may 'appear' on the surface may not be the actual data when said and done.
Bias data...
The bad part is that humans create the bulk of their fat cells by age 25 and generally retain that amount for life. As they get older, those fat cells go to work and get bloated, but the number doesn't grow. That's how people yo-yo in weight....the same set of cells fill up and deplete.
But the number of fat cells a person will have by age 25 is a matter of how fact the child is allowed to grow in childhood. A fat child will carry a lot more fat cells into adulthood than a slender child, and will have to deal with that excess all of his life.
Good to know. I hope people will take heed of this for their children's sake.
In my observation, women gain a little weight in their 50's typically - they can go from slender to a little puffy.
But I don't see a lot of really large old people.
Most of the people I see who are REALLY large are in their 30's and 40's.
And I think they probably die before they pass 60.
I can't think of many fat 75 year olds.
That's my observation as well. Obese people rarely reach old age before weight-related health issues end their lives. And a lot of older people have problems with their appetite. They just don't eat as much as younger people, in my experience. I used to work for an elderly couple and they certainly did not eat a lot, nor were they large in size. One of their sons was quite fat (so were his kids), and the younger daughter was getting that way. Too bad they retired to Florida, I enjoyed working for them.
