The best time of day to work out depends on your personal schedule and preferences. Some people find that working out in the morning before starting their day helps them to feel energized and focused throughout the day, while others prefer to exercise in the evening to relieve stress and unwind after a long day. working out in the late afternoon or early evening may also help improve sleep quality, as the increase in body temperature during exercise can lead to a subsequent drop in body temperature that can promote deeper sleep.
I prefer working out really early in the morning. Pre-pandemic I was at the gym at 3:45AM. It gave me a boost for the day and I felt great.
Post-pandemic I work out in the afternoons between 3-4pm in my home gym. I still get a good workout but I am exhausted afterwards. There's no fuel left in the tank for me. It's a little harder for me to get motivated to work out but I still get it done.
