I know this.....However , the calories you burn while doing cardio are so great that weights alone could not keep up........over time, yes, immediate impact.....no.

Do your cardio ppl unless you don't need to loose body fat

Lola,

Sorry not to sound mean but Happy Camper is correct. See with the weightlifting you get an awesome after burn of anywhere from 50 to 125 calories. I did cardio forever and went down 6 lbs started weightlifting and dropped 28 lbs.

I'm glad that worked for you....but in general, if you are trying to loose body fat you can burn upwards of 1000 calories with only 30 minutes of cardio...granted the burn does not sustain throughout the rest of the day but that 1000 calories sheds a lot of body fat when compared with the amount of DCI.

I'll agree with that for someone who is overwieght But somebody who is already down to the last 5lbs who wants to tone you may lose the muscle you are working on and chasing your tall. Its a delicate balancing act I need a calorie surplus everday and lift heavy weight with very little cardio because I want To add muscle mass WHILE losing fat...no tail chasing...
