I tried running with it zipped in the pocket of my shirt - but it didn't seem to work.
lol, that's funny.
I love mine, I picked it up at a booth that was set up along the sidelines of a walkathon I did for BCA.....only I would stop to shop while excersizing

They really need to detect the "strike". Make sure you calibrate it - will make it much more accurate.
I have one in my Nike shoe (Nike just happens to be the shoe that works best for me). I love the sensor - they are addictive!
One thing to keep in mind - if you wear the shoe you put it on at times other than your regular exercising, take the sensor off in between. It will run the battery down quicker and since there is no replacement battery, you have to buy another sensor sooner.
OK - non-tech type here.... how do you calibrate it?
I haven't seen instructions for that online and have to admit I am allergic to reading manuals
thanks!
There will be a setting on your ipod within the Nike sensor options. It's really easy and it explains on the ipod how to do it. On your ipod you'll go to Nike, then settings, then sensor then calibrate. It walks you through the process.
I did it on a track, since it is a for sure know distance.
The settings it comes with are close, but I'm small and my stride is small, so if I hadn't calibrated, it would have been off a bit.
What I love is that I can run a different combo on my route each day, but still know I'm getting in my 4 miles.
Thanks - I got the manual out and read it properly...foolishly I had hoped there was an online Nike+ for dummies but noooo...
I'm getting there!
