Forearms bulking with injury question -female (arms, training, strength, bigger)

Any good ratios to upper arms to shoot for? If so please state what the look is as I am not going for body builder here or anything. I just want bigger forearms.(only 8'' and I think they may look better 8.5''..maybe 9'', Upper arm is 9.5'' and will probably shrink 1/2 inch with regular "toning")
Also I have the tendency for ganglion cysts in my one wrist. Should I not bother with the forearm training or do you think it might actually help prevent future problems by strengthening and thickening tendon walls?
