I have a latex allergy and want to do an exercise class (sounds like a BodyPump type class from the description) but it uses bands. Anyone purchase non-latex exercise bands or tubing? I've googled and see many places that sell them but I've never heard of any of the places. Anyone have experience dealing with a reputable place? What about a reputable brand?

Thanks!

Dea

Just an update for anyone looking in the future. I couldn't find non-latex tubing but could get non-latex bands through a physical therapy place. Didn't know that in time for the try-it class so I just used 5lb hand weights today. It worked great. Don't laugh - just the 5lb weights made my arms feel like jello (in a good way).

Enjoyed the class so much that I signed up for the 6 week session. Luckily the class is at my work during lunch hour. It's only one day a week but it's one day I know I'll get 30 minutes of heart-rate increasing exercise without juggling other responsibilities.

Next up - buying a jump rope. I hear it's great exercise and it's something I can do with my daughter

I would suggest asking your doctor, chiropractor or physical therapist where you'd find non-latex products. That's where I got my plain latex ones, so I'd assume they'd know how to help a patient with an allergy.
