So many alcohol free ones! Its on the wishlist for me. I can't wait to try the peach and rose one.
I don't know how they get witch hazel extract, without distilling it. I mean, you can solvent-extract it, but why would you bother, when it's something so easily distilled? It definitely can't be centrifuge-extracted.
I've used Thayer's in the past and I like it, regardless of how they get the extract out of the bark. We keep a bottle of Dickenson's in the linen closet but that's diluted with alcohol. Thayer's alcohol-free is probably a lot easier on the skin, if you're planning on using it for skin care. We use witch hazel for small surface scrapes, hangnails, and I usually mix a little with a drop of rose geranium when I bang into a desk corner and get a bruise.
