I have a pair of Maui Jim's from 2008 - $200, the steepest I've ever paid. I must have the polarized lenses; to me they're the best.
I'd like to get a new pair, I'm getting tired of these. Don't know quite when that will be, though.

Ha! I posted my response before I read these. Yeah...Maui Jims are awesome. I bought mine for a cruise, 7 years ago. Wearing them down in the Caribbean convinced me that good sunglasses are definitely worth it. If I lost them, I swear I'd run right out and buy another pair.
My sunglasses cost about $50. They allow in 2% light and the frames hug my face. I wear them every day during the daytime or if the lights are on indoors. They are a bit pricey but they are the only thing that relieves my severe light sensitivity. I don't know the name of the company that made them but I know you can get them through a company called Independent Living Aids. Here's a link to them online. They're excellent for sighted people too, especially if you have to drive during sunrise or sunset.

I have a couple of pair of Prada sunglasses that the wife bought for me. One from Christmas 2009 and the other from 2008. I think she paid about $200 for each pair.
I ONLY wear them outside or while driving though. I refuse to be one of the idiots who wear sunglasses indoors (in the mall, Starbucks, Borders, etc.).
I have a total of about 25-30 pairs, I'd say. The priciest pair I have retailed for $450 for Tom Ford, but I got them on Amazon for less.
I like paying $50 - 85 normally for a pair. I've paid about $125 for a few pairs. I'd pay less if they were on sale from being pricier because I don't want them too cheap originally & you DO get what you pay for!
We stepped into a Sunglass Hut in Maui, a few weeks ago, and DH bought himself a nice new pair or Ray Bans. I think your shades are pretty much in line with priced we saw.
