I feel that, if you get something pierced, you should do it with the intention of showing it off.

Obviously, you won't be able to show off your nipple piercings in public, so to me it's kinda pointless.

Have you thought about getting your bellybutton pierced instead?

Gotcha. I do agree with you, though, in that belly piercings are too common. I first got mine pierced back in 1993, when no one had it done (I was around 20 at the time). I had it re-pierced around 5 years ago after having it out for a good while, and it seemed like everyone had theirs pierced at that point.

I have a friend who has her nipples pierced. She loves it, and as long as she loves it, that's all that matters. If you want yours pierced, and will genuinely enjoy having them pierced, I say go for it.

I disagree. I had my nipples pierced and the only person who ever saw them was my doctor. I was single at the time and didn't go around flaunting my breasts. Some people get piercings/tattoos for shock value or to show off, but many get them simply because they want them.

I also had my bellybutton pierced for a few years (Three times really...once on top and one on each side) and most people didn't even know I had it.
