Some poster asked another why she had on so much makeup.
I'm thinking if she does,so what?
At my place of work,a coworker asked why I had on makeup. I had on false lashes because I don't have any real lashes(they arent the dramatic ones)eyeliner, concealer for the dark underyey circles, and lip gloss. Sure,I'm running around the hallways, but its my face to do as I please.
Other coworkers have noticed this too among those that wear makeup. Why does someone care what someone does with their face? Usually, some of up are criticized by someone wearing no makeup.
Even the old ladies get jealous of one another.
Betty was 90 and liked to put on lipstick before she went out into the dining hall. She still had a sense of fashion.
Her roommate got angry at her and was rolling her eyes at her, saying"I don't know why she is putting on makeup for".
Who knows? I got into it with some haughty woman on a FB page once, who considered makeup "crap" and for women with low self esteem, and thought it was stupid to like fashionable clothes. Never mind she paid a salon to artificially blond her hair. I guess she didn't consider that in the same realm as makeup.
I wish but if anything less women wear makeup (or wear it less often) today than in previous decades. At one time women wouldn't leave the house without makeup, even to go to the store. It was considered basic grooming.
Maybe it's because it makes the women seem really fake? If you compare a woman wearing expertly applied makeup to herself wearing none at all it can be night and day. So, when she gets attention or compliments it's really not on how she looks, but how good she is at using makeup.
My mother tells me I need to wear more makeup but that's how she was raised. She was raised that you couldn't even go get gas without full face makeup. I wear it when necessary. I'm not a fan of it because I have really sensitive and fair skin which makes it difficult to find a shade that matches and doesn't break me out.
If someone were to ask why I had so much on I'd tell them to worry about themself.

What wrong with that though?
