Let me think.............NO I am quite happy with me currently except for the last 30 pounds I am in the midst of losing. All that other blah blah is just that, time wasting, money wasting, senseless blah blah.

I suspect if you see yourself as very attractive physically and look great with expensive makeup, clothes, and hair, then you would be more interested in making the investment.

Actually, a huge percentage of the very rich are Professional Beauties. Much of their credibility comes (or came) from the way they look (or used to look). I mean, do you think the Virgin Air guy would have gone as far as he did, had he not been so freakin' gorgeous? Do you think Tebow would be in the limelight so much, if he weren't giving the menfolk wet dreams?

Would Carolyne Roehm, Gayfryd Steinberg, Brooke Astor or Amalia de Fortabat have married as well as they did, had they not looked right?

I started scrounging through the rag bins (thrifts, etc.) looking for hyperluxe labels for me & DH, while in college. DH developed relationships with budding jewelers, and my jewelry/clothing would stop VIPs dead in their tracks, when they'd walk through offices at the U where I was doing work-study. "Where did you get that!" "Call me when you're out of school!" It made a difference. Most rich women I know could tell you similar stories about themselves (or about the founders of their family fortunes). Ever see pictures of Cornelius Vanderbilt as a very young man? Gorgeous!

I ask them why they are so obsessive about their looks and they said their peers and social standing demand it. If you want to live the rich life with rich friends you need to look good.

And they do!

If you were a multi millionaire would you spend lots of time and money on trying to be beautiful?
I have plenty of $$$ and except for my shampoos, I don't send a dime on 'beauty products.'
However, I have learned now that good shampoo really does make a difference.

A good diet, lots of water, plenty of exercise...that will make you look more beautiful than a pound of Chanel make-up or whatever.

I do facials two or three times a year because they feel good.
Don't wear make-up.
No fancy clothes - T shirt and jeans.
Have a trainer, but that's because I have some lifting and physique goals and a terrible schedule to contend with.
Cosmetic surgery? HA!
I eat well, but usually homemade whole food, heavy on veggies.

Difference is that I make all my own money.

A woman who is with a very rich man has to look good...for him.

Oh, and as someone who gets to see all the aftermath, let me tell you...unnecessary surgery is one of the stupidest things you can do.

Well, no, I actually haven't seen any portraits painted before the middle of the nineteenth century, when Vanderbilt was in middle age. But the youngest I've seen are not particularly handsome.

And put young Brooke Astor in a floral printed house dress and she wouldn't stand out from the geriatric Florida crowd.

No elective surgeries here no matter how much money I have because I have had a hard time healing from NEEDED surgeries. Sorry but folks are just going to have to deal with my body au naturale.
