The 80s was the most glamorous.

I don’t think the people have changed, it was really the hair and fashion.

I find myself most attracted to 1930s to 1950s looks, the 60s are there too. Really nicely dressed men, and women, I think, found a peak of “sexy but not slutty” looks. I also think the 1970s had a nice aesthetic for people, although it starts to fade to 80s stuff which I don’t like.

There was a period in the 1990s and early 2000s when I came up: this is when I first became aware of sexuality, etc., so I think the kinda tight tees/mild bell bottoms and Keds shoes on girls imprinted on me. Guys clothes haven’t really changed that much, though. I’ll admit that the Guy Fieri frosted tips don’t look that bad to me doe

EDIT: I’d like to give a shout-out to circa 1890s to maybe 1920. Women could flaunt a sexy, natural thickness. If there’s any era in which the people looked nice, as opposed to the fashion and makeup and stuff, this is it, captured in photographs. I think this is when boudoir photography really started, which makes women and couples both look so sexy and amazing. Men, as always, just look better in a smart suit and tie, and there’s not as much to say there. Us guys have it easy.

You can argue all you what what kind of looks is your preference - the 40ies, the 60ies or the 80ies, ( all of them have their own pluses and minuses,) but as far as I am concerned, it's all down the hill from the nineties on.

This is what's *in* now for example..

( I am simply too afraid to look up the contemporary male counterparts in pop music...)

I am a real fan of the 1940s up through the mid 50s. Stylish and classic looks for both women and men. The only things I'm not as fond of are some of the shoe styles and some jewelry. But the hair styles back then was marvelous. In some ways, the 80s were a bit of the 40s, with classic clothing styles and the big stylish hairdos on women.

Alternative fashion has been a thing for decades now, which is what this is. This example is not mainstream fashion or fashion for your everyday person. I don't walk into the store or work in the midwest and see people dressed like this. Celebs/musicians are on the extreme for everything...you might see some teens taking inspiration, but that's it.

I see bigger problem with this picture than "alternative fashion" lol.

It's more about her look in general, comparably, say, to the 80ies, which some are saying were "the worst."

So it's basically something like THIS

VS that, above.

P.S. Now, when I think about it - why do I even go back as far as the eighties;
It can be even this from the 90ies,

VS what I see today.

I’d say the most recent decade...because more ppl take care of themselves now than previous decades IMO...nutrition, fitness, skin & hair care. I look at old pictures & the ppl in them always looked so much older than they were.

Default I would say 90's

90's era was very different. Fashion trends like Animal-Print Dresses, Blush Pink, Sheer Fabrics, Velvet, Chain mail, Corsets, Slip Dresses and Skirts, printed leggings were some of the best followed back in 90's. Would love to go back in time!

There are beautiful people in the current times.

Clothing retailer Haband has some very attractive women modeling the clothing they sell, and that isn't a high-end retailer, under pressure to impress.
