Do people who style their hair and nails feel beautiful?

How do you FOREVER alter your hair and nails? I can't even keep polish on for 2 days without a chip! But yes, it makes me feel better (more beautiful) to have done some extra grooming on myself.

How can your hair and nails possibly be unaltered if you cut them? Of course they are altered. A person who never cuts their hair or nails will certainly look different than a person who cuts their hair and nails even once, correct?

I think feeling "beautiful" is a matter of dressing/accessorizing appropriately for each occasion.

Are cut nails and hair inherently (this is the key word) any more beautiful than uncut hair and nails?

Standards of beauty change over time and are different between cultures.
