I've had Chuck Taylors but hardly wore them. I like Pumas but don't own any. I tend to stick to Nike and Adidas for the most part.
How many pairs of sneakers do you have in total? Do you have a "rotation" or do you wear the same pair for a while and then switch to another pair? Do you ever wear sneakers in unusual circumstances, like with a tux?

I only have about 15 pairs. I often try to sell shoes I don't want anymore on eBay. I don't really have a set rotation but I like to change up according to my clothes, etc.
And nope never wore sneakers with a tux but I'd consider them with a suit. I can wear sneakers to work though (generally simple ones like all white Air Force 1's) I also usually wear them to clubs/bars.
Thanks! Part of that goes back to my Tennis childhood in the 80's, as those were my two favorites. I actually played tennis with different types of shoes. Off the top of my head: Jordans 2&3, Green Neon Agassis, Bo Jacksons, Reebok Pumps, Converse Kevin Johnsons, Air Max.
In Manhattan, I've noticed everything from Air Max's (Neon color specifically), Jordans, New Balances, Purcells. Even the high end designers are getting to the act, though I find those appaling, price and design wise.
I don't like most of the new stuff, but I still keep my eye out on the potential classics. I like the Nike Flyknits with the regular soles, not lunarlon soles.

A lot of my sneaker influence comes from playing tennis too. Green Neon Agassi's were awesome. I wish I could get my hand on some of these retro Nikes
Dazzleman, were you going to tell the story about Puma and Adidas??
Thanks for reminding me, man. Here's an article on the topic. The two firms were founded by 2 brothers named Rudolph and Adolf Dassler who were bitter rivals.
