Has anyone heard of IPO... I think it's some kind of pulse laser. They use it on the face to help get rid of those tiny little broken capillaries. I need to do it, but I want to know how it works.

I think it's IPL(intensive pulse laser). I had it done for wrinkles, loose skin. Didn't work at all for me. My friend had it done for broken capillaries on her cheeks, worked great. It's not too painful and not a big deal.

Anyone else try it? How expensive was it? How many times did you have to go back? What did you have done?

I had it done. Here's the whole story - one day I'm just sitting there and I feel like a stinging slap to my face. OUCH!!! Later when I looked in the mirror, I saw a blotch on my cheek about 1" x 1" where the capilaries broke. That area was permanently red and looked like I was leaning my hands against my face (and leaving a red mark). I hated it. I saw a dermatologist who specializes in fancy treatments and they used this laser thing. It stung a bit (they first put on a mumbing cream). While I was there, they zapped a few capilaries around my nose, too. I only had one treatment.

This was about 15 years ago (?). My nose capilaries came back (and I never went back to have them redone), but the cheeck capilaries didn't return . I was happy with the treatment .

I'm not sure if it's IPL, but I'm getting laser done for a small patch in about a month - I'll let you know! my area is really tiny (a few cm's) but in a conspicuous spot. my dr is charging me $100.

I have the IPL done for some small capillaries and sun spots and it works beautifully. I pay $300 for each session and I typically buy 5 sessions at a time. I do this every couple of years. It does not hurt. It just feels like a rubber band snapping you in the face. To me, the worst part of the treatment is when the very, very, extremely cold gel is put on your face prior to the lasering. Man, that stuff is COLD! It literally takes your breath away for a few seconds.

Default Where is IPL in Las Vegas?

I have all these tiny red capillaries that have recently showed up on my face. I can cover them with makeup for the most part, but what is going on? I read all your posts about IPL, has anyone had this done in Las Vegas? That's where I live, need to know where to go,

IPL treatments need to be done between 6-8 times for permenent results and you can only do it once every 6 weeks ... it should cost between $70 - $99..... it doesnt hurt
