I looked in my closet and reflected on how long ago it seemed like I first went to live on my own in college and the stuff I had when I graduated (even though it really wasn't that long ago, it feels like it).
I'm in my late 20s now, and only a few items are really left from those years. There are some hoodies and a pair of shoes or two that are holdouts that haven't been tossed out. I almost feel like they are mementos of the past and while I'm not sentimental about stuff I leave behind whenever I move, I'm still reminded of the time I spend when I wore them.
I have one item left. A camel pencil skirt. Everything else was rejected. I do have a sweatshirt from high school with my name embroidered on it that my mom wears. And a few math team tshirt so from middle and high school because they had funny sayings.
LOL ..Yes an old pair of gym shorts from High School back in 82...There 30 years old and dead ugly but comfy, I still wear em during my workouts .Picture below ......
I still have a few clothes left from a gonebye era and still can get them on . So yep still have em guess I should have thrown them out a long time ago but did not so that is on me .
Yes, I still have some clothes from high school and college. I'm kind of proud I can still fit in them after all these years - they are from the 1970s. My favorite thing from back then is my platform shoes. My daughter actually borrowed them for a time because they're so cool. I agree these things are like mementos and bring back fond memories of times gone by. Thanks for the fun thread and memories.
I am in my late 40s and still own clothes from college when I was in my 20s. Trousers still fit although shirts are problematic as my biceps, traps and pectorals are much larger and so the shirts are tight up top.

I have one item that I bought at age 17. Tried it on about two years ago and decided that I need to lose a few pounds. It is a leather vest that I had custom made at a San Francisco area "Head Shop". I also found a check stub in the pocket from the job I did in college - $3/hour, 60 hours for the week, no overtime pay.
