Depends on the context. In Aug in Clark Co Nevada, I would think pimp, in winter in Russia, I would think smart.
Mink generally isn't considered a "manly" fur these days, but was fine for either gender in days gone by.
I personally think it can look great on the right person, with the right dress, in the right environment.
If you like WHY would you care what someone you don't know thinks? As long as they don't pull an ignorant stunt and assault you or damage your property, who cares?
I do. Not only is it WARMER than synthetics, it's also more environmentally conscious than petroleum based materials.
Oh yes, but then again there isn't much that doesn't offend some of those people. Be sure NOT to wear ANY leather, fur, wool, silk, or any other animal products either!
I think it's a good thing we all have the freedom to wear what we choose.
Not to mention I wear what keeps ME comfy, and I find attractive and practical, and in some cases fur is that choice. Other times that is leather, other times that is wool, or silk, or cotton.
And honestly what's with the hate for fur; yet most of the same people that loathe fur don't bat an eye at leather.
Perhaps people like you delight in provoking others as the majority here is against the use of fur for HUMANE reasons, which you seem to totally dismiss. And that's fine since you're free to choose, but all you're really showing here is that you are a selfish person with ZERO EMPATHY. I'm just hoping the OP has higher standards of living than yours and won't imitate your poor example. We live IN SOCIETY with others for a reason, no man (or woman) is an island, so showing disregard and lack of respect not only for other humans but other living things actually puts you at a disadvantage. You may not see it now because it may look like you're doing fine ignoring what others think or feel, "karma" will not ignore it and will pay you back.
Oh, and not to defend the use of other animal products, but at least let's not compare "apples to oranges", IMO there's a vast difference between using the hide of an animal (for leather) that was already killed for FOOD than to skin others alive purely for the VANITY of humans. And the excuse that fur is more enviromentally sound doesn't fly with me either, it's a matter of priorities, and treating the animals humanely is a bigger priority for me because fake fur is just going to be hanging on somebody's closet (or at a thrift store) and very rarely in a landfill anyway.

Wool???? As is giving a sheep a haircut (shearing)? As long as they are treated humanely
(there is some abuse in certain breading methods and mulesing) Vicunas, sheep, llamas & alpacas
fleece is very warm.

Just wow....
Are there people out there that remember the furs from the spotted cats (leopards, cheetahs, tigers,
ocelots, jaguars) that were on the verge of extinction because of fashion and to mount as trophies?
White baby seals? Were most of the people wearing these furs for warmth? Why not just take a
nice designer wool coat and mount diamonds, other prescious gems, gold & platinum on it to make
a status statement?

Do the animals have the choice NOT to be skinned alive or anally electrocuted?
No, they do not.
