It is healthy for the feet to not be enclosed in shoes all the time. I love sandals, have them in many colors - adore flip-flops - love the sound of flip-flops when I walk - (I just bought two darling Speery Top Sider flip-flops at Macy's). I do take a bath every single day you know and if I have been outside, a warm wash cloth rub to the toesies is always in order.
My feet have been screaming "free me now!!!" for months. As soon as it hits 70 outside, they will be unleashed for the summer - the little things are actually dancing with anticipation.
Add Baltimore to that list. When the weather is warm, most people are out and about in both flip flops and sandals.
Also, we ladies love painting out toenails. Sometimes we wear designs and wild, bright colors.

I'm a man, but I love flip flops and sandals. It gets mighty hot here in the summer, so they are perfect when I'm not at work. It doesn't bother me when others wear them either. /shrug
This really is not a secret. And I do not recall stating in my post that ALL Japanese have weird private lives buy MANY do. This is very well known. Sorry if it is simply unknown to you.
Obviously not all Japanese folks are crazy behind closed doors, but this is the culture that gave us tentacle porn, relationships with body pillows, and vending machines that dispense used underwear, so there's that.
I love wearing sandals and such but if theres anything wrong or ugly at the moment with my feet i'll wear shoes. I also dont like wearing sandals or any open type shoe unless ive had a pedicure. That way i can be confident that my feet are at their best.

Yes, i read but tbh if a person likes feet it makes no difference to me. Everyone likes some part of the human body.
